CentOS6.2 cluster - luci only comes up from one node

Post by Rick_Smith » 2012/03/11 01:15:59

On CentOS6.2 I cannot see the cluster when I run luci on that node, luci shows the cluster fine on the other node. Also, when I run luci on the node where it works from I cannot see "uptime" of the node on which when I run luci I dont see the cluster.

So the scenario is this.

Run luci on node "1"
Node Name Node ID Votes Status Uptime Hostname
db1 1 1 Cluster Member 01:04:31:52 db1
db2 2 1 Cluster Member db2

As you can see I don;t see "uptime" of node "db2"

When I run luci on db2, I don't see the cluster

That's nice. What's the difference between "that node" and "the other node", what else can you tell us about the situation that might make it intelligible, and is there a question hiding in there somewhere?

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. Both nodes are identical. I installed any packages "side by side". The documentation seems to suggest that there can be only one luci server(does not have to be one of the cluster nodes). However, this still does not explain why I don't see "uptime" of the second node when running luci on the first node.
