Guys,
I downloaded the 5.6 iso and burned to a disc successfully. Installed on a laptop with no issues whatsoever. However, I have an older Dell at the house and I tried booting from the disc and the cursor blinks at me. I know the disc is good because it worked earlier. I tried another disc in the cdrom and it worked fine.
My question is my hardware too old to run this? It has a 2.53ghz Celeron processor with 512mb of Ram I believe.
Thanks for any advice!

Re: 5.6 dvd won't boot
Are you sure its a DVD-Rom in the old workstation and not just a CD-Rom?

A good test of the hardware compatibility can be conducted with the CentOS 5.6 LiveCD
