Changing default global IP gateway in CentOS 5.6
Re: Changing default global IP gateway in CentOS 5.6
You have a GATEWAY= line in your ifcfg-eth6 file and it points to 192.168.1.2 not the 192.168.1.254 that you said earlier worked. Amend that line and place it in /etc/sysconfig/network and remove it from the ifcfg-eth6 file. You also have a line in the ifcfg-eth6 file that assigns it an ip address of 192.168.1.195 when you later amended that to 192.168.1.6. I suggest that you change 195 to 6 if 192.168.1.6 is indeed the address you want to use.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
