Kernel crash on C7 i386 using official Firefox
Re: Kernel crash on C7 i386 using official Firefox
You're already running 7.1 - 3.10.0-229.14.1 is a 7.1 kernel.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Thanks. Ok I am up to date in effect.
There is no more idea around ?

My only suggestion otherwise would be to try it on x86_64 and see if the same thing occurs then. That would narrow it down to a difference in the build, especially if you ran the 32 bit firefox on a 64 bit system.

Re: Kernel crash on C7 i386 using official Firefox
I can't at the moment, as I have no x86_64 installed. I think i'm going to wait for the next update of FF and see if the issue remains .
Thx anyway

Re: Kernel crash on C7 i386 using official Firefox
All I can say is that in my graphical VM, I can not duplicate the issue with firefox. I can browse fine.
I know that is not much help.

OK, this may or may not help you.
We have released an experimental repo for c7-i386 and it has a newer (4.2.0) kernel.
See the instructions here if you wish to try this kernel:

It was in effect about the first kernel. I updated to the experimental one and now all works fine.
Thanks a lot.
