Legacy installation - OLD Documentation needed

Post by CaViCcHi » 2017/10/20 22:31:50

Hi guys,

I need to install CentOS 5 for Legacy purposes, and I cannot seem to find the information I need online, mostly because all results come up for 6 and 7.

Anyway I'm simply looking for the documentation that talks about isolinux and kickstart installation for CentOS5, because I cannot remember the correct syntax for the APPEND line/cmdline in el5 and what used to be supported for repo/stage2 etc and I don't feel like digging through shell code in the ramdisk/installation image... :P at least I'd like to see if anyone remembers or can point me in the right direction :)

thank you

Perhaps it does, but it's more of a "sorry, no idea, gotta read through the docs", which is cool, it's old stuff. I was more wondering if anyone remembered the behavior, but I can dig it up.

thanks anyway :)
