Cent OS 7 fails install - blinking cursor dell poweredge
Cent OS 7 fails install - blinking cursor dell poweredge
I am trying to install the latest CentOS 7 on a Dell Poweredge T630 w/ a PERC H730 Raid controller, config in RAID 10. I am able to boot to the centOS install option screen; however, when I select "install" I am greeted with a blinking cursor. Any ideas? thanks guys

Did you verify your downloaded file's sha256sum against the list in the release notes to make sure it was OK? https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7
How are you booting? Using the iso image attached to the iDRAC virtual media? A DVD disc? A USB stick? If the latter, check that you used one of the tools that works from the list in http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey - dd is best and always works.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

I tried both a DVD disc w/ idrac and usb w/o idrac as it does not dectect USB sticks. Still no luck... Thanks for the reply
