I have no experience with vsftp, but you may want to if selinux is enabled, and if so, check if /admin has the correct rights.
And if you're really using CentOS 6.5, you may want to update.

In your configuration, you have:

Code: Select all

local_root=/exports/home/admin
and you are trying to cd to /admin, which is either (not that familiar with this configuration parameter):

Code: Select all

/exports/home/admin/admin
[note the repetition of "/admin"]
or

Code: Select all

/admin
Do either of these directories exist? Your logs will almost certainly reveal the issue.

And you really really need to run yum update to get up to date. CentOS 6.5 is 5 years old and is riddled with security problems. Update to 6.9 ASAP.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

i cant update the centos to 6.9 , because a custom system installed on it. but i dont think this error related to upgrade to a newer version of centos.

I'm sorry but you really need to. It's not safe to not do so. If you doubt that, go read the upstream vendor errata pages and look at all the updates that have been released by them since 6.5 was released on 21 November 2013. That's over 4 years worth of security updates that are missing on there.

Would you run Windows XP without patching it since 2013?
