[SOLVED] - Install Dropbox on CentOS 7.5.1804

Post by warron.french » 2018/08/31 00:26:21

I followed the instructions on this webpage - https://computechtips.com/790/install-dropbox-centos-7

I already had a dropbox account and have been using it for over 10 years with Windows systems.

Following the instructions on the page provided I experienced no problems at all.
Thanks,
War

That's great but don't forget Dropbox will stop working on non-EXT4 partitions from November 7.

In my opinion, better solutions is rclone and mount Dropbox space to Linux, if You really do not need Dropbox client.

That's interesting. I hadn't seen that. I believe, and I will have to check, that my system is actually running with XFS not ext4.

Do you have an article to provide?

Here You have some info:

https://rclone.org/dropbox/
https://rclone.org/commands/rclone_mount/

ps. I use for OneDrive for Business and it works perfect.
