Hello and goodbye. Hope the waves are not too high once you jump overboard. :-)

The guy has one post. Apparently he registered here just to attack CentOS. Have some of these guys started a "write-in campaign" or what?

There does seem to be a recent trend of 1st posts trashing CentOS. Maybe all the same guy/gal on a personal vendetta.

Re: Abandon Ship
Could be. OP's From-field reminds me of a fable with three goats.
This being Social, it remains unclear to me which ship is referred to.

So that's the origin of the whiff, of damp fur and rotting turnips, that I have noticed over these last few days.

Re: Abandon Ship
For all the delays and hiccups waiting for the release of 5.6, and the lack of updates to 5.5 in the interim, as well as the continuing delays of the release of 6.0, it's nice to see that 5.6 is getting regular and timely updates. As long as there are timely updates, I'll stick with CentOS.

Taking the role of Devil's advocate, I would like to say that there is one inappropriate phrase in your last post --
as well as the continuing delays of the release of 6.0,
The CentOS Project currently does not have a product, CentOS 6, in it's portfolio. The current products that are available to the public are CentOS 4 and CentOS 5. ;-)
Yes, work is ongoing to create a CentOS 6 product and when it is ready it will be announced & made available to the public at large. What is wrong is for it to be assumed that just because TUV has released a new product, RHEL 6, that the CentOS Project would ever release a clone thereof within an unstated but presumed time frame.
In essence, yes, a clone of RHEL 6 is being being built and it will be released when it is ready.
Thank you for your continued support, by usage of the currently available CentOS products. :-)
