Today my centos 7 just updated two software, mokutil and shim-X64. After that, when I close my desktop , the wifi adapter will be closed, and the desktop loses internet connection. I don't know why
But I don't want that. I always download something with the desktop closed.
So is there anyone could tell me why and how to avoid it?
thanks a lot.
Wifi adapter turned off?
Re: Wifi adapter turned off?
I really doubt if those 2 package updates have anything to do with the problem since they're completely unrelated to it.
Can you clarify: what does "when I close my desktop" mean? Desktop as in not a laptop? Desktop as in your GUI windows manager? And what do you mean by closing it?

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Sorry, I used wrong word.
It is a laptop. And I changed nothing in bios.

Re: Wifi adapter turned off?
So it's laptop. Are you talking about what happens when you close the lid of the laptop?
