I am trying to convert my VirtualBox image to an ISO so I can boot it off of a hard drive, and continue from there.
Looking here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/556911/ ... m-vdi-file
I ran the first command. For now, I don't have a hard drive to test on, so I just created a new VM, booted to the ISO, but then it said that there was no bootable media found.
It sounds like I will also need to run virt-sysprep on it for this to work, but when I tried to install it, yum said it could not locate this package.
Virtualbox to ISO
Re: Virtualbox to ISO
so where did you save the iso file ?For now, I don't have a hard drive to test on
from which media ?booted to the ISO,
Anyway when you install an os in VB, this one creates fake GPU, fake Netcard aso...
If you finally boot from this image into a real machine, I'm not sure it will work.

Re: Virtualbox to ISO
I saved it onto my local machine.
The generated ISO from VB.

Re: Virtualbox to ISO
So you saved the .iso there for a future boot from another hard drive you don't have yet ?
So I would suggest you to wait for this other hard drive and come back at this moment.

Re: Virtualbox to ISO
You want to clone your hard disk install to a DVD? Not possible.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
