Wireless network doesn't work when updated to 6.3 (Intel Pro Wireless 2200 bg)

HI all,
I had this problem before when installing centos 5.8 but i fixed it after hours searched online. However, when i update centos to 6.3, the wireless does not work. Thank you so much for reply. But there was no solution for problem in that thread you mention which i assume it is same as my problem.

Unfortunately BZ#839311 is one of those annoying private bugs that normal mortals are not allowed to access.

Any idea or solution? I am amateur on centos as well as on linux, so please help me solve this problem. Thank you guys lots

Hi,

Try to download + install and boot a previous kernel from CentOS 6.2 (package manager, install software).
If it works, you can make it the default booting kernel, while the issue is resolved upstream by Red Hat.

I have he same problem, cannot access the wireless. It has always worked perfectly for me in all versions of Ubuntu from 8.04 to 12.04. I cannot go back to 6.2 as that has been removed....so I guess we are all stuck until somebody gets arount to fixing it...or else back to Ubuntu.

The elrepo ml kernels include the driver.
It may have other incompatibilites, so test carefully.

In my case I lose the ability to read my CPU tmp.
