I find it very interesting that the RH Virtualization Management server must run on Windows.

Some think this was a big mistake: http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2009/11/03/redhat_rhev_hyper/comments/

I think this is a huge mistake and I find it quite annoying to see the top Linux company release such a product. It's not only the management server that has to run Windows 2003, the management console also requires a Windows system. The RHEV from Red Hat can not be managed with a Red Hat operating system.
In my opinion this makes RHEV obsolete, at least I can't see a single advantage over VMware's vSphere. :-/

hehehe even the Vcenter server now is a Linux (and a CentOS VM btw ...) server ! So linux lovers actually will maybe prefer vmware over rhel for the virtualization market
On the other hand i'm sure (they promised it too) that they'll opensource the product once that it will be rewritten in something else than .Net (the rumour was that they wanted to rewrite it in java)

I don't know why they don't use oVirt basis to make that, like RedHat DS and Fedora DS (aka 389 now)
