Normally, third party repositories will provide an RPM that installs the necessary configuration files to use. You should ask the PUIAS people how to use their repository.

[SOLVED] Puias repo

Post by pschaff » 2011/08/13 13:49:01

Puias is another distribution based on the same sources from TUV. If you want to install Puias then do so, but mixing the repos with CentOS is likely to lead to a bad result.

I was able to figure out how to setup puias Unsupported repo which is maintained separate from their OS build. Here's my puias.repo file.

[puias-unsupported]
name=PUIAS Unsupported $releasever
baseurl=http://puias.princeton.edu/data/puias/unsupported/$releasever/$basearch/
priority=24

Please note: I use yum-priorities to keep my repos tidy and I recommend others do the same. When I installed a rpm (e.g. qrencode) from this repo it complained about not having the GPG signing key so I had to use the --nogpgcheck option with yum. If someone can find their GPG key, please let me know.

Cheers,
Scott

The first result from a google on gpg key site:puias.math.ias.edu is RPM-GPG-KEY - puias.
