Hi guys!
While writing a dvd in my centos 5.5 below msg im getting with cd/dvd creator.
"The application nautilius-cd-burner has crashed"

Use a command line application instead of nautilus.
For cd writing, dated but still good (though you can ignore most of the stuff about getting the burner recognized by the system)

Or for a GUI app, k3b always works nicely for me.

You should update to the current/supported release CentOS 5.7. See the [url=http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.7]CentOS 5.7 Release Notes[/url] for details. By not updating you are implicitly accepting that you will live with numerous bugs and security issues (and associated known exploits) that have subsequently been fixed.
