Wget : command not found

Post by Circuit » 2008/07/22 04:55:53

Hi People,

I've just made a fresh install and I 'm try to setup webmin which I normally do for any centos/linux deployment.

Here is the issue,

I guess yum -y install doesn't work here (may be it is not the repository at all ?)

Now, I am trying to download the rpm using wget. Whenever I do so, I get the error,

bash : wget command not found

I'm logged in as root. What could be the possible reason ?

Is wget installed?
rpm -q wget
wget-1.10.2-7.el5
If not, install it:
yum install wget
what do you mean by this? yum executes but gives some errors or it does not execute at all ?
