port for 'yum' ?

Post by paul-lkw » 2007/11/12 03:26:08

Dear All:
I have an 'iptables' rule to default block all policy, and eventually I find I can not use 'yum' to update the RPM pakage.
I want to ask which port should be opened for the command 'yum' to work?

THX all. :-D

yum uses port 80 (take a look at you're repos its all http://)
if you need to use proxy then export http_proxy=http://ip:port
