Issue with Apache loading resin module; undefined symbol: sh

Post by dtully » 2015/03/11 15:07:57

I'm hoping someone has some insight into an issue I have been having. I upgraded to Centos 6.6 (64 bit) and now Apache 2.2.29 is having issues loading mod_caucho.so. We are using Apache as our webserver and Resin-Pro 4.0.36 as our application server. When I try to start Apache I'm getting the below error:

httpd: Syntax error on line 103 of /opt/sites/pac/webserver/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /opt/resin/pro-4.0.36/mod_caucho.so into server: /opt/resin/pro-4.0.36/mod_caucho.so: undefined symbol: shm_open

Has anyone encountered this? I have searched everywhere and I'm out of ideas as to how to deal with this. I would appreciate any information.
Thanks, Danielle

CentOS does not supply Apache httpd 2.2.29 and nothing the CentOS project does supply installs under /opt/sites. Do you have a web panel like cpanel or plesk on that system? If so then you need to ask them for support as they build and replace many parts of CentOS and any advice we might offer has the potential to break your system more than it is now.
CentOS 5 died in March 2017 - migrate NOW!
CentOS 6 goes EOL sooner rather than later, get upgrading!
