Re: md_clear

I think it would be a useful piece of information to know the exact cpu model in use on the host for anyone experiencing this problem. I wonder if they have realised that it is not required on certain processor models and so it no longer shows as a cpu flag. I just checked on my local system that is on 3.10.0-1062.4.1.el7.x86_64 and on a Xeon e3-1245v3 I still have md_clear listed in /proc/cpuinfo.

Now the OP said that they were using a Dell Rx20 which means it has a slightly older processor than mine. I can't check the other VM hosts that I have as none of those are yet running the 3.10.0-1062.4.1.el7.x86_64 kernel, still on 1.2.el7.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!
CentOS 5 has been EOL for nearly 3 years and should no longer be used for anything!
